The Best Fake Christmas Tree I’ve Ever Owned

Fake Christmas trees are the best invention since sliced bread, in my opinion!  Regardless, whether you agree with me or not, one thing we all have in common right now is that Christmas is coming up and we will all need a Christmas tree sooner or later! Additionally, I’m willing to bet that by the end of this post, you will be an artificial Christmas tree lover if you weren’t before!

Growing up, we always had a real tree.  It smelled delicious and looked beautiful!  Unfortunately, I soon found out that I was allergic to real trees.  Therefore, as an adult I’ve always had a fake Christmas tree and couldn’t be happier with the decision to switch!

Don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE real trees!  They smell amazing and look beautiful when they are all decorated and done up with lights!  However, caring for a fake tree is SO much easier than caring for a real tree, especially when its of good quality like King of Christmas!  For instance, fake trees require less clean up than real trees!  In addition, when you can make your fake tree smell like a real tree, why not save money and time by using a fake tree! Because, it is EASY and ECONOMICAL to get a box down from the attic, put the fake tree together, and enjoy decorating it with my family, year after year after year!

THE BOX…

Speaking of the box, my Christmas tree from King of Christmas arrived on my front porch packed very nicely in this tall box.  After bringing it inside I quickly realized that the box was designed to be reused every year because of the nifty handles built into it!  But, that’s not even the best part!

The best part is that the box can fit through the attic door!!!!!!!  Whoever designed this box was a logistical genius! (probably a woman)  Do you even know how many holes I have put in our old Christmas tree bag (which I had to purchase separately BY THE WAY!) trying to wedge it through the attic door?!? Seriously, what a nightmare!  This is amazing and life changing!

ASSEMBLY…

• First, I started with the stand. The stand was very easy to open and secure.  Seriously, nothing to it!
• Next, I began stacking the sections of the tree branches together via the power pole (see more about the power pole below) The tree branches came in 4 sections, each labeled with a tag.  I followed the pre-labled tags, stacking them in order one on top of the other and the tree was put together within 10 minutes, all by myself!
• Then, I plugged in the power pole.  My most favorite part about this entire tree is the power pole!  King of Christmas trees come with one plug that plugs into the wall and lights up the whole tree!!!  Everything else plugs together through the power pole built into the stem. No more untangling wires, figuring out which plug connects where, and chasing down the light that is burning out the whole strand!  Upon this discovery, I screamed with excitement like a 16 year old girl at a Michael Jackson concert!

BRANCHES…

The branches are full and sturdy and well made!  The snow is stuck on tight to each branch and they fan out nicely, covering most bare spots.  I say “most” because there are some areas throughout that are thinner than others.  Personally, I like to have thin areas among the branches in various places because it leaves room for bigger ornaments to hang.  However, if you like a more full tree, you would probably prefer one of the “King” trees.  This is the King Flocked Tree.  It’s similar to the tree I have, just a little more full.  You can read about the difference between the Prince and The King by clicking here.

LIGHTS…

Who doesn’t love Christmas lights?!?  I have never owned a tree with LED lights until now.  I was very nervous to take the plunge with LED because I was worried they were going to look too green.  I can now say that I am a big LED Christmas light fan!  I love the way they look and the flocking offers a nice warm glow over each light! Another great thing about these lights is that when one light burns out, the others stay lit!!!!!!!!  Another genius move by King of Christmas. Say goodbye to replacing an entire strand of lights!

So basically I’m a crazed King of Christmas tree fan now and I just can’t imagine ever owning another brand of artificial Christmas trees for the rest of my life.
