Selecting Our Bathroom Hardware

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that the hardware I selected in the end was not my first choice.  I ultimately picked it because it fit into my budget.  At the end of a big project, hardware sometimes falls lower on the totem pole because you use up the bulk of your money on bigger things.  However, on smaller projects, its fun to splurge on cabinet hardware.  All in all, I am very pleased with the way our bathroom vanity turned out, including the inexpensive, brass hardware…

When I was first starting to design this bathroom, I knew we were going to be adding custom trim to the cabinets in an X pattern so I wanted something big and bold that would look pretty in the center of that X trim.  I also knew that the light fixture we were going to use was brass.  This was perfect because I had already owned a few brass accessories that would look great on the countertop.  As a result, I decided that the hardware had to be brass as well to tie everything together.

Well that’s all for today.  I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for your next project!  Sometimes just changing out cabinet knobs and pulls can update the whole look of a bathroom, kitchen, or piece of furniture without even lifting a paint brush!
