Merry Christmas lovelys!
Thank you for joining me on my second holiday home tour. I hope this blog post finds you in the middle of all kinds of holiday bliss!
Today I have teamed up with 5 other ladies to show you our mantels decorated for Christmas.
If you are following the tour in order, you just came from Kristen and Vicki’s home over at Timeless Creations
Don’t worry, if you missed their holiday mantel, you can see it by clicking here.
Today I have a few little embellishments to show you that I added to our Christmas mantel.
During this stage of life that I’m in, i.e. newborn in one arm leaving only 1 free hand to do all the things like writing this blog post, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I have to complete most projects over the course of a few days/weeks. So, now that my house is all decorated and I have a little time to spare, I can make another “pass” back through and add some finishing touches here and there.
After decorating my mantel back in November, I kept thinking it was missing something in the center. If you missed my first Christmas home tour where I showed you our mantel and new Christmas tree, you can see it by clicking here. Finally, after several paces back and forth in front of the fireplace trying to put the baby to sleep, I figured out what it needed. I hope you like….
First, I added some inexpensive silver ornaments from Dollar Tree to the center of the mantel and attached them using fishing line my husband so kindly shared with me. This is what they look like up close….
Then I felt like the wreath hanging in the middle of those massive elk horns needed a little more pizzaz so I took a pink scarf out of my closet and tied it around the bottom of the wreath…
Here’s a closeup of it…
And that’s it. Now I think our mantel looks more complete. What about you? Let’s just hope my 3 year old will leave the new hanging ornaments alone!
Next stop on the tour is Tara from Pennies From Heaven Home.
Be sure to check out her festive Christmas mantel and all of these other wonderful ladies on the tour! Tomorrow’s theme is vignettes and you won’t want to miss it!

Thank you so much Bree! Merry Christmas!
Oh how lovely! That blush is so beautiful! And I adore that ornament DIY hanging from your mantel! Super cute!
Thank you Jen! Hobby Lobby really had the prettiest shades of pink this year in their Christmas decor!
You know how much I love your mantle Marci and your styling! I love the touches you added to it with the silver balls and the scarf! So pretty!
Your mantel and fireplace area (with that beautiful chair beside it) looks so calming and inviting! Love the soothing colour tones mixed with the more vibrant splash of pink with the scarf on the wreath. The flocked garland and silver ornaments hanging below add a lovely holiday vibe. Those antlers are fantastic – such a unique decor element in their colour and appearance.
Thank you so much Lori!!!!
Marci, you have my full admiration getting all of that done and writing a blog post while caring for a baby! I love what you’ve done especially by including the pink. 🙂
Aww Stacey thank you so much!! Some people have the opposite, judgmental opinion so I really appreciate your support!
Love the soft colors and then that pink! So different, and absolutely beautiful. Great job!
Thank you so much Kristen! I really went outside the box this year. My justification was having a girl and that we will use these new pink ornaments in her room on “her tree” for years to come! Right?!?!
Girl I loved what you did today! I learned so much and loved being on this home tour with you!
Aww thank you so much Kelly! That is so sweet! Loved doing this tour with you as well!
Marci,
I love the soft palette you used for Christmas! It is beautiful! It is fun touring with you this week!
Thank you so much Lindsay! I was craving pink this year!
I love how bright and neutral your fireplace is! I’m so glad to be a part of this blog hop with you!
Thank you so much Lindsey! I can enjoy a room so much more when its light and bright. My mom brain just can’t take much more than that these days!
The elk horns are so unique. I love seeing the ornaments hanging from the mantel. Such a good idea!
Thank you so much Jamie! When my husband brought them home my mind was flooded with ideas!!! I love changing them up throughout the seasons. Thank you for following along!

Hello Marci, super pretty , my favorite are the antlers. And that giant cream fur on the floor is so cozy looking!!! Christine from Little Brags (today’s Front Porches)

Thank you so much Christine! That fur is our traveling rug. It seems to be finding a home in every room in our house!

Thank you so much ladies!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Such a gorgeous place. I love the neutrals with the pops of blush! I really like the finishing touches you added, it is amazing how we can rethink some little extras to add after taking a step back. Your entire space is just gorgeous and flows together well!

I am in love with your color scheme! It’s so unique and most people don’t shy away from the traditional red and green. This just adds more beauty!
