Fall Decor-DIY Vases-Easy, Fun, Pretty

DIY Fall decor is a great way to save money and add something new to your home! Decorate for Fall on a budget with this easy, inexpensive, tutorial.  

Making my own Fall decor is something I look forward to every year!  Therefore, I try to add one DIY at a minimum to my Fall decor.  If I’m lucky, I’ll fit a second one in, which this year thanks to JOANN, I did!

Today I’m going to show you how I made these festive Fall vases!  I love the way they turned out!  In addition to my mantel, I plan on using them as a table centerpiece as well!

Supplies 

1. vases- I used 4 with varying heights (2 tall ones and 2 smaller ones)
2. fabric- Any Fall colored fabric will do.  However, to purchase the fabric I used, click here.
3. hot glue gun
4. glue sticks for hot glue gun
5. measuring tape
6. scissors

Steps

1.  Measure your vases to determine how tall and wide each piece of fabric needs to be.  Leave 1/2 inch on each side for overlap and cut the fabric accordingly.  This 1/2 inch on each side is where you will put the glue.
2. Next, Lay the vase over the fabric centered so that you have 1/2 inch of fabric to spare on the top and bottom and roll the vase as far to the right side as possible, leaving an inch to spare.  (see pic below)
3. Then, squeeze hot glue onto the right side of the vase, making a vertical line from top to bottom then cover the glue with the right side of the fabric

4. Now, roll the vase all the way over from right to left until you only have a small flap of fabric left on the left side. Place another line of hot glue from top to bottom on the left side and cover it up with the remaining fabric (just like you did in Step 3)

5. Lastly, squeeze hot glue around the outer perimeter of the bottom of the vase and cover up the glue by folding over the 1/2 inch of extra fabric

TADA!  Done!
