Home Tour for Christmas

Welcome to the Christmas decor Holiday Housewalk Day 3, sponsored by (affiliate link) Arhaus! The first two days full of Christmas decor were amazing, and today’s homes do not disappoint!  If you missed either of the previous days, make sure you start with Day 1 here.

You may be joining me from Leslie Saeta’s 100 Year Old Home in sunny Pasadena, California.  Her home looks beautiful for the holidays, as always!

Today I am so excited to share with you my home, all dressed up for Christmas!  Let’s take a tour….

This year I was craving traditional reds and plaids.  I wanted the decor to remain simple, keeping the ornaments to a minimum and letting the Christmas plaid make a statement for itself.  Luckily, there was tons of plaid Christmas decor at all of my favorite stores this year to choose from!

For the Christmas tree, I found some beautiful matching Christmas plaid ribbon and decorated the tree using a new ribbon trick I learned last year.  If you missed that DIY you can read about it by clicking here.

I always have some kind of centerpiece on each table throughout the house!  For Christmas, I like to use leftover berries and stems — from holiday swag sticks that I used in other places around the house — to create beautiful focal points in the center of the kitchen table.  There is no need to go out and buy new Christmas decor to make a centerpiece every time!  Use what you have and you will love it so much more!

Christmas tree

For those of you who are new here, I have a 5 year old son and a daughter who is 2.  Both of them have very different personalities and interests and I let them decorate their own Christmas trees in their rooms to reflect just that! Here is a post about each of their trees and Christmas decor.

My daughter is obviously very girly and likes anything pink.  My son takes after his dad and likes to hunt, fish, and play sports, particularly soccer.  I know they are only going to be little for a short time so I love finding cute ornaments for their trees that are reflective of their individualities.
