Halloween snacks are a must for parties! Read on for an easy snack recipe that is ready in 5 minutes and makes an adorable Halloween treat for kids!
Halloween snacks are 100% necessary for parties and are such a fun way to celebrate Halloween, other than with traditional candy and Halloween decor. As a mom with young kids, I’m always signing up to bring something for their Halloween parties at school and I get tired of bringing the same old stuff every year. So, this year I decided to get creative and come up with a different snack that I know the kids will love!
My thoughts in creating this snack….
- I wanted it to be something super easy with zero cooking required!
- I needed it to contain inexpensive ingredients that are readily available at this time of year.
- I also wanted it to be full of a mixture of salty and sweet.
- And thus, “Halloween Trail Mix” was born…
Ingredients
- 1 box of Halloween pretzels (I found a box of 40 individual snack bags at Target)
- 2 bags of popcorn
- 1 bag of candy corn
- 2 bags of Halloween M&M’s
- 1 pack of Oreos (Halloween ones if you can find them but regular will work too!)
Supplies
- Large serving bowl
- 1 Gallon size ziplock bag
- 2 large mixing spoons
How to Make Halloween Trail Mix
- Pop 2 bags of your favorite popcorn in the microwave then pour them into a large mixing bowl.
2. Pour the Halloween pretzels on top of the popcorn. Mix gently as to not break any of the pretzels.
3. Scatter half the bag of candy corn over the popcorn mixture. Mix gently then spread the other half of the bag over the mixture.
4. Take 1 pack of Oreos and dump them into the gallon size ziplock bag. Close the zipper and crunch the Oreos up into pieces. After all the Oreos are crunched up, spread them evenly over the bowl of popcorn and pretzels. Mix gently.
5. Last, spread 1 bag of the Halloween M&M’s over the top of the popcorn mixture. Mix gently then spread the other bag over the top aswell.
6. Serve in your favorite Halloween platter and/or individual bags or cups and, done!
YUMMY, YUMMY!!!
I told you it was going to be easy! I hope your kids enjoy this delicious Halloween snack at their next party!
