Hello lovelys!

I hope you are enjoying your summer and some beautiful sunny weather.

I recently returned from a week long trip to the beach and already find myself missing the water!

I absolutely LOVE the beach.  I am a sun worshiper and am lucky to live so close to the beautiful beaches of the gulf coast!!!  I could sit out in a lounge chair for hours on end soaking up the hot sun, reading a good book, and enjoying a cold beverage.

Spending time on the water left me thinking, if I had a home on the coast, what would it look like…

If I had a home in Florida it would be bright, white, and filled with lots of natural light!  Some people consider this a “beachy” look, which in a lot of ways it is, but more than anything I think a room decorated in light colors is very fresh.  I would love to have a home in Florida that is fresh and inviting!  A place to entertain and enjoy with close friends and family. I mean, wouldn’t we all!?!

I put together some mood boards of what my living room, dining room, & bedroom
would look like in

Everything in the living room of my Florida home would be cozy and soft.  Nothing too fussy so that guests would feel comfortable enough to put their feet up and totally relax!  This would be the room we would spend the most time in.

Moving on to the dining room…

My husband loves to fish!  That’s actually an understatement.  He’s kind of obsessed with fishing.  I love it when he brings home fresh fish to cook and crabs to boil!  We really enjoy having people over for dinner to grill or boil seafood.  I have a feeling I would lose him to the water during the day and we would do even more entertaining at night if we had a home in Florida!  But hey, that’d be fine with me.  That’s why I included a large dining room table and some comfy chairs for our casual dining room.

Last but not least, a bedroom in my Florida home would look something like this…

Of course, I would want our Florida home to have several bedrooms that all looked similar to this so that we could have groups of friends come and stay at one time.  I have been obsessing over this wall paper ever since I saw it on Wall Paper Direct and would definitely have it as an accent wall behind our bed in the master bedroom. This tree pattern comes in several different colors and is a great way to bring the outdoors in. I would love to have fluffy, white, hotel bedding in every room with lots of plush pillows! Wood floors are a must for easy clean up. I love walking around barefoot on wood floors and I’d probably be barefoot 99% of the time in my Florida home.

Ok who’s ready to get a house in Florida with me?!
